Serentica Renewables has reached a significant milestone by commissioning 3 GW of renewable energy capacity across India, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s rapidly growing renewable independent power producers. The achievement comes just 26 months after the company commissioned its first renewable energy project, highlighting the pace of its expansion in India’s evolving clean energy sector.
The commissioned portfolio includes a balanced mix of solar and wind energy assets spread across key renewable energy states. More than 500 MW of wind projects have been commissioned in Maharashtra and Karnataka, supplying clean electricity to commercial and industrial consumers while supporting their decarbonization goals.
The 3 GW renewable portfolio is expected to generate nearly 6 billion units of clean electricity every year and help avoid around 5.6 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually. As industries increasingly adopt sustainable energy solutions, the milestone reflects the growing role of renewable power in improving energy security, reducing emissions, and supporting India’s long-term climate objectives.

Looking ahead, Serentica Renewables plans to further strengthen its renewable energy portfolio with an additional 3 GW of renewable energy and storage capacity currently under development. These projects are expected to be commissioned over the next 12 to 15 months, enabling the company to expand reliable green power supply to industrial consumers across India.
