Enterprise messaging is becoming harder for businesses to manage as customer interactions spread across SMS, WhatsApp, RCS and voice. Airtel Business is stepping into this complexity with Airtel IQ Gateway, a telco-grade network intelligence platform that brings these communication channels together through a single control plane.
The challenge goes beyond having multiple communication channels. Enterprise messaging often involves different service providers, platforms and tools, making it difficult for businesses to get a clear view of message delivery, routing and security. Airtel IQ Gateway brings SMS, WhatsApp, RCS and voice into one platform, alongside number verification through Silent Authentication, while providing a DPDP-compliant environment for managing customer communications.
At the heart of the enterprise messaging problem is visibility. A message may be marked as delivered without actually reaching the customer, while automated bots can generate large volumes of international OTP traffic and push up messaging costs. Businesses also have to deal with the manual management of pre-approved DLT message templates, creating another potential source of errors and operational friction.

The impact can be particularly significant in sectors such as BFSI, government, E-commerce and logistics, where customer communications often involve payments, authentication, transactions and critical service updates. A communication failure can therefore become a customer-experience issue, while fraudulent messages can put both consumer trust and brand reputation at risk.
Airtel IQ Gateway is designed to address these issues by bringing multiple communication and security functions into a single control centre. The platform combines fraud protection with native DLT integration, automatic switching to backup service providers and intelligent routing across SMS, WhatsApp, RCS and voice.
The platform also taps into Airtel’s network intelligence and security capabilities. IQ Verify is designed to help detect fraudulent activity, while Silent Authentication supports SIM-based login without requiring customers to manually enter an OTP. Airtel says the system can also identify signals associated with fraudulent account creation, account takeovers and unusual spikes in artificial traffic.
Airtel Business has now launched IQ Gateway nationwide after trial deployments involving select banks, financial institutions and other industry participants. The company says the platform brings its existing fraud-prevention capabilities into the enterprise communication environment, giving businesses another way to manage customer interactions while adding greater security, visibility and control.
