JBM Auto Limited, a leading Indian automotive and electric mobility company has further strengthened its position in the country’s electric bus market in September 2026. According to Vahan portal data, the company recorded 274 electric bus registrations during the month, the highest in the industry capturing a 33% market share.
The company sustained this leadership through the first half of FY26-27, registering 892 electric buses between April and September 2026. This represents an approximately 24% share of the Indian electric bus market, which recorded a total of 3,771 registrations during the period.
JBM Auto’s continued momentum builds on its strong performance in FY26, when it emerged as India’s leading company for electric bus registrations. The performance reflects the strength of JBM’s integrated electric mobility ecosystem, its execution capabilities, and the growing adoption of its electric bus solutions across public and institutional transportation networks.

JBM Auto operates the world’s largest dedicated integrated electric bus manufacturing facility outside China, located in the NCR region, with an annual manufacturing capacity of 20,000 buses. The facility integrates design, engineering, testing, validation and manufacturing capabilities, enabling JBM to develop and deploy electric mobility solutions at scale.
JBM electric buses have, to date, covered over 450 million e-kilometres, serving over 2 billion passengers and contributed to avoid over 1 billion kilograms of CO2 emissions.
