Today, it unveiled the P261, a 125 kW / 261 kWh liquid‑cooled BESS built for factories, warehouses, commercial complexes, and microgrids across India and key international markets. While VION has been part of the PowerHive story, the P261 is the brand’s first official product launch and a defining milestone in its growth.
The P261 is designed to solve the real pain points of C&I energy users: cut peak demand charges, maximize solar self‑consumption, provide reliable backup, reduce diesel generator runtime, improve power quality, and enable EV charging and microgrid deployments. With this launch, VSL PowerHive moves decisively into the heart of the energy transition, extending Vikram Solar’s manufacturing strength into a full‑spectrum storage play.
Inside a compact, single‑cabinet form, the P261 combines precision liquid cooling with robust LFP chemistry to protect cell health and extend system life beyond conventional designs. An integrated energy management system delivers real‑time monitoring and remote diagnostics, backed by fire suppression and multi‑layer protection against overcharge, short circuits, and thermal events. Built to scale, the architecture unifies solar, grid, storage, and EV charging on one interface, ready for today’s loads and tomorrow’s expansion.

At its heart, the P261 packs a 261 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery with a nominal voltage of 832 V and 314 Ah cells, optimized for high‑efficiency charge–discharge cycles in both on‑grid and off‑grid setups. It is engineered to perform reliably from -30°C to 50°C and carries an IP52S rating for protection against dust and water ingress, making it well‑suited to demanding industrial environments.
Built for industrial and commercial users, the P261 enables peak‑load management and demand‑charge reduction, boosts solar self‑consumption through intelligent energy shifting, and provides dependable backup power during outages. It also helps cut diesel generator runtime, supports EV charging infrastructure, and addresses power‑quality requirements, positioning it equally well for microgrid deployments and utility‑scale grid support.
