Juniper Green Energy Limited, through its subsidiary Juniper Nirjara Energy Private Limited has entered into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN Limited for a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project. Signed on 26th August, 2026, the agreement falls under SJVN’s FDRE-2 scheme, which was awarded through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding process. Juniper Nirjara Energy had received the Letter of Award for the project from SJVN on 03rd February, 2025.

The PPA carries a tariff of ₹4.25 per unit over its 25-year tenure, with the project required to deliver four hours of peak-hour supply and maintain 90% monthly availability, along with meeting the minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) specified under the bid. To meet these requirements, Juniper plans to integrate multiple renewable energy technologies, including solar power and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), creating a hybrid generation and storage configuration designed to support the project’s firm and dispatchable supply commitments.

With this addition, Juniper Green Energy’s portfolio now stands at 11,216 MWp of renewable energy capacity, complemented by 8,989 MWh of BESS capacity, further strengthening its position as a scaled and integrated renewable energy platform.

Commenting on the development, Ankush Malik, Whole Time Director & CEO, Juniper Green Energy Limited said, “The signing of this PPA with SJVN further strengthens our partnership and marks another important step in Juniper Green Energy’s strategy to build a scaled portfolio of Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) projects. As India’s power system evolves, the ability to deliver renewable energy when it is needed—particularly during peak demand hours—will become increasingly important. Our integrated capabilities across solar generation and battery energy storage enable us to provide solutions that combine the benefits of renewable energy with greater reliability and dispatchability. We look forward to building on our relationship with SJVN and continuing to develop large-scale, reliable clean energy solutions that support India’s transition to a more sustainable and resilient power system.”
