Viviana Power Tech Limited has successfully energized a 400 kV Double-Circuit (D/C) Loop-In Loop-Out (LILO) transmission line for a 323.4 MW wind power project in Kachchh, Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in strengthening renewable energy evacuation infrastructure in the state.
The transmission line was brought into operation on 10th July 2026, enabling power generated by the wind park to be integrated into the high-voltage transmission network. According to the company, the project was completed within a compressed execution timeline despite several engineering and operational challenges.

As India’s renewable energy capacity continues to expand, transmission infrastructure plays an equally important role in ensuring clean electricity reaches consumers. High-voltage transmission lines such as the newly commissioned 400 kV LILO connection help transfer electricity generated from wind projects into the national grid while improving overall network reliability.
The newly commissioned transmission line strengthens grid connectivity for the 323.4 MW wind project, enabling efficient evacuation of renewable energy into Gujarat’s high-voltage transmission network.

Complex Engineering Challenges Successfully Managed
According to Viviana Power Tech, executing the project required careful planning, coordination with grid authorities and adherence to stringent safety standards.
One of the most technically demanding aspects involved completing three major high-voltage crossings, including:
- A 765 kV transmission line under-crossing
- A ±500 kV HVDC under-crossing
- A 400 kV overhead crossing
To complete these crossings, the project team deployed a 100-metric-ton crane to erect two 97-metric-ton extension towers, ensuring safe construction while maintaining project timelines.
Another significant achievement was the successful completion of a 200-metre live-line stringing section between AP-07 and AP-08. The work was carried out while adjacent transmission circuits remained energized, allowing the project to progress without requiring a complete grid shutdown and minimizing disruption to electricity supply.
Order Book Reflects Healthy Business Pipeline
Alongside the commissioning milestone, Viviana Power Tech also provided an update on its order book and project pipeline as of 21st July 2026.

Viviana Power Tech reported a confirmed order book exceeding ₹1,340 crores inclusive of GST, supported by a healthy bidding pipeline across power transmission, distribution and industrial EPC projects. The company believes this positions it well to participate in India’s growing investments in transmission infrastructure and renewable energy connectivity.
