Charge_iN by Mahindra and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have announced a strategic collaboration to set up electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) at HPCL fuel outlets across India. Under the agreement, Charge_iN will leverage HPCL’s extensive retail network to expand EV charging infrastructure, aiming to improve user convenience and accelerate the adoption of electric mobility nationwide.
HPCL, one of India’s largest state-owned oil and gas companies, operates more than 24,400 retail outlets across the country and has already deployed over 5,400 EV charging stations under its HP e-Charge network.

The agreement comes at a critical time as India accelerates its transition toward green mobility. HPCL’s extensive retail network provides a strong foundation for the rapid deployment of EV charging infrastructure and supports seamless expansion across the country.
Charge_iN by Mahindra is part of the company’s vision to enable widespread electric mobility through the development of an ultrafast charging network, aligned with the government’s push to strengthen public EV infrastructure. The charging stations will feature 180 kW dual-gun chargers, designed to deliver faster, more convenient, and reliable charging for electric four-wheelers.
The cooperation with HPCL represents the next step in the collective efforts of Charge_iN by Mahindra in India to build a comprehensive EV ecosystem. This is regarded as an important foundation for realizing the goal of widespread electric vehicle adoption and promoting sustainable transportation in the world’s third largest automotive market.
