Cosmic PV Power Limited has secured Consent to Establish (CTE) approval for its proposed 1.10 GW solar cell manufacturing project in Madhya Pradesh, marking a key step forward in the company’s plans to expand its solar manufacturing capabilities.
The project is planned in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh and is expected to manufacture TOPCon solar cells. The approval moves the proposed facility forward in its development and expands Cosmic PV Power’s presence across the solar manufacturing value chain.

1.10 GW solar cell manufacturing facility
The proposed facility forms part of Cosmic PV Power’s broader manufacturing expansion plans. With a planned capacity of 1.10 GW, the project will add solar cell production to the company’s existing solar module manufacturing operations.
Cosmic PV Power currently has around 3 GW of annual solar module manufacturing capacity, with its portfolio including TOPCon and other photovoltaic technologies. The addition of solar cell manufacturing will allow the company to expand its capabilities further upstream in the solar production chain.

Expanding India’s domestic solar manufacturing base
The development comes as India continues to expand its domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem across cells, modules and other components. Solar cells are a key part of the photovoltaic manufacturing chain, and increased domestic production can support greater integration between cell and module manufacturing.
For Cosmic PV Power, the Narmadapuram project represents a move into solar cell production alongside its existing module manufacturing activities. The company has said the project is part of its broader focus on expanding domestic manufacturing and supporting the country’s clean-energy transition.

1.10 GW Project Enters the Next Stage
With CTE approval secured, the 1.10 GW solar cell project has reached another important stage of development. The proposed facility is expected to add to Cosmic PV Power’s manufacturing footprint and strengthen its presence across different stages of solar production. The project will now move forward as the company progresses with its plans for the Narmadapuram facility.
