Tata Motors reported a strong start to the second half of 2026, posting 39,641 commercial vehicle sales across domestic and international markets in July. The company registered a 37% year-on-year (YoY) growth, compared with 28,956 units sold in July 2025, reflecting healthy demand across its commercial vehicle portfolio and a sharp rise in overseas business.
The biggest highlight of the month came from Tata Motors’ international operations. The company’s international business more than doubled, with sales rising 128% YoY to 5,765 units, compared to 2,524 units in the corresponding month last year. The sharp increase underscores the growing contribution of overseas markets to Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle business.
Domestic demand also remained robust. Tata Motors sold 33,876 commercial vehicles in India during July 2026, marking a 28% increase over the 26,432 units dispatched in the same month last year. The growth suggests continued momentum across the country’s freight, logistics and passenger transport sectors, where commercial vehicle demand remains an important indicator of economic activity.
