Intelligent power management company Eaton has announced a collaboration with Kose Engineering, appointing the Okayama-based company as an authorized xEnergy panel builder in Japan under Eaton’s licensed panel builder program.

According to the company’s announcement, Kose Engineering will assemble Eaton’s xEnergy low-voltage switchgear systems locally, supporting the growing demand for IEC-compliant power distribution infrastructure across commercial and industrial sectors.

Eaton’s xEnergy platform is a modular low-voltage switchgear solution designed to meet International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. The system is intended to provide flexible, scalable and reliable power distribution for applications including data centres, manufacturing facilities and other mission-critical environments.

Kose Engineering specializes in electrical engineering and power system solutions for industrial and commercial customers. The company also offers expertise in 3D computer-aided design (CAD), software development and precision sheet metal fabrication for switchboards, control panels and cleanroom equipment.

The two companies plan to expand the deployment of xEnergy solutions across Japan over the next three years, with a particular focus on the country’s growing data center and semiconductor industries. Eaton also said it will support Kose’s development as a licensed panel builder by providing technical guidance, project support and the capability to independently prepare customer quotations.

Commenting on the collaboration, Eaton said Japan is witnessing increased investment in digital infrastructure and advanced manufacturing, driving demand for internationally compliant power distribution systems. The company believes strengthening its local partner ecosystem will help support future projects across these sectors.

Kose Engineering said joining Eaton’s xEnergy Panel Builder Program will allow it to leverage Eaton’s expertise in IEC standards while contributing to the development of next-generation low-voltage power distribution systems in Japan. The collaboration reflects the increasing importance of reliable and scalable electrical infrastructure as Japan continues to invest in data centers, semiconductor manufacturing and other technology-driven industries.
