ChargePoint, a global provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has announced the appointment of Jyothi Swaroop as its Chief Marketing and Growth Officer. In this position, Swaroop will oversee the company’s global go-to-market strategy, including marketing, go-to-market operations, sales enablement, growth initiatives, partner monetization, and expansion into new markets.
Swaroop joins ChargePoint during a significant phase of transformation as the company intensifies its focus on profitable growth, platform development, strategic partnerships, and sustained industry leadership. Reporting directly to CEO Rick Wilmer, Swaroop is expected to play a key role in executing ChargePoint’s three-year strategic roadmap by strengthening market presence, accelerating growth initiatives, and enhancing engagement with customers, partners, EV drivers, and investors.
“ChargePoint is entering a new phase — one defined not only by operational discipline, but by growth, execution, and market leadership,” said Rick Wilmer, Chief Executive Officer of ChargePoint. “Jyothi brings the rare combination of enterprise technology depth, go-to-market rigor, strategic storytelling, and growth leadership that this moment requires. As electrification expands beyond passenger vehicles into fleets, logistics, autonomous systems, robotics, energy infrastructure, and intelligent software-defined mobility, ChargePoint has an opportunity to lead a much larger market than the industry has historically understood. Jyothi will help us define that opportunity, execute against it, and make it real.”
As Chief Marketing and Growth Officer, Swaroop will lead ChargePoint’s global go-to-market strategy, with responsibility for aligning worldwide GTM operations, strengthening revenue growth and sales pipeline performance, scaling partner-driven expansion, increasing market visibility, and shaping a compelling product and platform narrative aligned with the future of electrification.
The appointment reflects ChargePoint’s view that EV charging is evolving beyond hardware deployment into a broader intelligent electrification ecosystem. As mobility becomes increasingly connected, software-driven, autonomous, and energy-aware, charging infrastructure is expected to play a vital role in supporting emerging demand across commercial fleets, logistics, autonomous mobility, robotics, energy management systems, smart buildings, and AI-enabled infrastructure.
“ChargePoint is one of the few companies with the scale, software platform, customer footprint, and operating history to help define the next era of intelligent electrification,” said Jyothi Swaroop, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer of ChargePoint. “The market opportunity ahead goes way beyond EV charging infrastructure. The future will require an intelligent, connected, reliable energy layer that supports how people, fleets, machines, autonomous systems, AI data centers and physical infrastructure move and operate. My focus is simple: sharpen the narrative, scale the GTM engine, monetize our partnerships, expand our market reach, and help ChargePoint grow with the urgency and ambition this category demands.”
Swaroop brings broad leadership experience across global marketing, sales, business development, sales enablement, and revenue operations, having held senior roles at enterprise technology companies including Oracle, Dell EMC, Veritas, and DDN. Over the course of his career, he has built and scaled go-to-market organizations in competitive markets, led brand transformation initiatives, cultivated strategic partner ecosystems, and positioned businesses at the convergence of infrastructure, software, artificial intelligence, and enterprise technology adoption.
His appointment comes as ChargePoint advances its strategic priorities, including growing software and services revenue, improving operational efficiency, strengthening strategic partnerships, and reinforcing its presence across North America and Europe. The company is also focused on building the platform capabilities needed to support the next generation of electrified transportation and emerging energy applications.
