Amber Group has announced a significant expansion of its manufacturing footprint with the groundbreaking of two advanced production facilities at the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YIEDA) in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. The new investments are aimed at strengthening India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem and increasing domestic production of critical components and consumer durables under the Government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, and several senior government officials, Members of Parliament, and industry leaders, highlighting the strategic importance of the projects for India’s manufacturing sector.
Two Major Manufacturing Projects Announced
Amber Group’s latest expansion comprises two large-scale manufacturing facilities that are expected to strengthen domestic value addition and support India’s rapidly growing electronics and consumer appliance industries.
The first project is Ascent-K Circuit’s advanced High-Density Interconnect (HDI) Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing facility, which will be developed across approximately 16 acres. The project has been approved under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and combines the technical expertise of Ascent Circuits and Korea Circuit Co. to manufacture advanced PCB solutions in India.
The second project is Amber Group’s proposed Ultra Mega Air Conditioner manufacturing facility, spanning around 100 acres. The facility will be developed in phases to significantly enhance domestic manufacturing capacity for air conditioners while supporting India’s growing demand for energy-efficient cooling solutions.

Why the Jewar Location Matters
Located near the upcoming Noida International Airport, the YIEDA industrial region has rapidly emerged as one of India’s most promising manufacturing and logistics hubs. Its strategic connectivity through the Yamuna Expressway and access to multimodal infrastructure make the region an attractive destination for large-scale investments in electronics, consumer appliances, automotive components, and industrial manufacturing.
Amber Group’s decision to establish its new facilities in Jewar further strengthens the region’s position as an emerging manufacturing cluster that is expected to attract significant industrial investments over the coming years.
Strengthening India’s Electronics Manufacturing Ecosystem
The new HDI PCB manufacturing facility represents an important step towards reducing India’s dependence on imported electronic components. High-Density Interconnect Printed Circuit Boards are widely used in smartphones, laptops, consumer electronics, automotive systems, industrial automation equipment, and next-generation communication technologies.
By expanding domestic PCB manufacturing capabilities, the project is expected to contribute to local value addition, strengthen supply chains, encourage technology transfer, and support India’s ambition of becoming a global electronics manufacturing hub.
The Ultra Mega AC manufacturing facility is expected to further expand Amber Group’s production capabilities while supporting increasing domestic demand for air conditioning products across residential and commercial markets.
Leadership Perspective
Commenting on the occasion, Jasbir Singh, Executive Chairman and CEO of Amber Group said the expansion represents another important milestone in the company’s manufacturing journey and reinforces its commitment to building technology-driven manufacturing capabilities in India. He noted that the projects are expected to deepen domestic value addition, encourage innovation in the highly import-dependent PCB segment, and generate employment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh.
Government Support for Manufacturing Growth
The presence of senior Union and State government leaders at the groundbreaking ceremony reflects continued policy support for advanced manufacturing and electronics production in India. Initiatives such as the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes, and state-level industrial development policies continue to encourage investments in high-value manufacturing sectors.
What This Expansion Means for Industry
Amber Group’s latest investment is expected to strengthen India’s manufacturing ecosystem by increasing domestic production capacity for electronics components and consumer appliances while reducing import dependence. The projects also align with India’s long-term objectives of enhancing supply chain resilience, promoting advanced manufacturing technologies, creating skilled employment opportunities, and expanding exports of high-value manufactured products.
As manufacturing activity accelerates around the Noida International Airport region, projects such as these are likely to play an important role in positioning Uttar Pradesh as one of India’s leading destinations for electronics and industrial manufacturing.
