RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has secured a ₹47.40 crore structured LAN contract from Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited, expanding its role in delivering network infrastructure for government departments. The rate contract covers the supply, installation, testing and commissioning (SITC) of structured local area network (LAN) systems at multiple locations across Haryana, Chandigarh and the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR).

The company received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) on 19th October 2026. The estimated contract value is ₹47.40 crore, inclusive of taxes. The project is intended to meet the networking requirements of various Haryana state government departments, with individual purchase orders to be issued according to their requirements over the contract period.

Rate Contract to Support Government Networking Requirements

Under the agreement, RailTel will undertake the SITC of structured LAN infrastructure at designated locations across the covered regions. The arrangement provides a framework through which the customer can place purchase orders as and when requirements arise.

Unlike a single fixed-scope deployment, the rate-contract structure allows work to be ordered progressively in line with the needs of the participating government departments. The estimated value disclosed in the LoA therefore represents the overall size of the contract.

The contract’s geographical coverage includes Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi NCR, extending the scope of the networking assignment across multiple locations.

Execution Scheduled Through April 2028

RailTel is required to execute the contract by 18th April 2028. The work will involve the supply and installation of the required LAN infrastructure, along with testing and commissioning at the relevant sites.

Structured LAN systems provide the network connectivity needed to link computers, devices and other equipment within buildings and facilities. Their deployment can support internal data communication and access to networked services, depending on the configuration and requirements of each location.

The agreement places responsibility for the specified SITC work with RailTel, while purchase orders will determine the requirements to be fulfilled over the course of the rate contract.

RailTel Adds Another Government Infrastructure Assignment

The latest contract adds to RailTel’s portfolio of assignments for public sector and government customers. The company operates in the telecommunications and digital infrastructure space, and the new mandate focuses on structured network infrastructure for Haryana state government departments.

The order is domestic in nature. RailTel stated that the awarding entity has no promoter-group interest and that the contract does not fall under related-party transactions.

With the estimated contract value standing at ₹47.40 crores and execution scheduled through April 2028, the assignment provides a framework for meeting structured LAN requirements across the designated locations as government departments issue purchase orders.

The development underscores the continuing requirement for network infrastructure across government establishments, where reliable local connectivity forms part of the underlying digital infrastructure.
