Honda has announced that its WN7 electric motorcycle has received the Gold Award in the Product Design category at the globally recognized iF DESIGN AWARD. This marks the first time a Honda product has secured the top honour in this prestigious design competition.
The WN7, Honda’s first electric naked model in the FUN category, was developed around the concept of “Be the Wind.” The motorcycle reflects the company’s broader vision of advancing electrification and contributing to a carbon-neutral future.
A key highlight of the WN7 is its innovative frameless structure, where the battery case functions as the main body frame. This design approach enables a lightweight build while offering greater flexibility in layout and component integration. The motorcycle delivers a maximum output of 50 kW, comparable to a 600cc internal combustion engine (ICE) model, along with peak torque of 100 Nm, similar to a 1000cc-class ICE motorcycle. These specifications are designed to deliver strong performance across both urban and highway riding conditions.

From a design perspective, the WN7 emphasizes a balance between functionality and aesthetics. The motorcycle features smooth, seamless surfaces that enhance rider interaction, combined with a bold and distinctive silhouette. Its signature headlight incorporates a horizontal bar design, while the overall styling is defined by a black base accented with gold elements.
