LG Energy Solution has announced that its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has earned NVIDIA DSX Ready qualification. This milestone underscores the company’s capability to deliver reliable, scalable power infrastructure tailored for AI-driven data centers and “AI factories.”
NVIDIA DSX Ready is a qualification program that validates partner products and solutions against NVIDIA’s DSX reference design requirements. It helps customers quickly identify trusted components for building AI factories. The broader NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform integrates design and operations across compute, networking, power, cooling, facilities, and software layers.
LG Energy Solution’s BESS satisfies the applicable NVIDIA DSX Ready criteria for AC-coupled energy storage systems. By shortening time-to-power, it enables faster deployment of new capacity while tackling key power-management challenges in AI workloads, such as smoothing variable AI loads, supporting voltage ride-through, and improving overall power reliability.

The qualified product’s key strengths include:
- Modular 2.5 MW / 5.1 MWh battery blocks that enable scalable deployments and rapid capacity expansion to meet evolving power and energy requirements
- An integrated AC solution that supports agile grid-forming capability, fast response times, voltage ride-through, and AI load smoothing
- AC solution architecture designed to meet applicable UL and NFPA requirements, providing enhanced safety and reliability
LG Energy Solution has cemented a leadership position in North America’s energy storage system (ESS) market, supported by a fully localized value chain that covers battery cell manufacturing, pack assembly, and system integration. Leveraging five regional production facilities, the company aims to secure over 50 GWh of LFP battery cell production capacity by the end of 2026. This expansion is designed to bolster supply-chain resilience, enhance local manufacturing, and meet rising demand from data centers, infrastructure projects, and utility-scale storage deployments.
