Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL), a leading player in India’s solar energy sector, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Letter of Award (LOA) worth INR 114.22 crores by a prominent Renewable Energy Generation Company. The contract is for the design, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 94 MW AC Solar PV Plants across multiple locations under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0.
This award, secured through a competitive bidding process, showcases WRTL’s technical strength, cost efficiency, and proven ability to deliver scalable solar infrastructure solutions.
The MSKVY 2.0 scheme, an initiative by the Government of Maharashtra, aims to empower farmers by providing daytime electricity through decentralized solar power generation, boosting both agricultural productivity and rural energy self-sufficiency.
India’s renewable energy sector is undergoing a transformative shift, with solar energy playing a central role. The country has already surpassed 97 GW of installed solar capacity as of 2024 and is targeting 280 GW by 2030. This growth is being driven by supportive government policies, falling technology costs, and increasing private sector participation.
