SINPRO Electronics has entered into an exclusive partnership with Ghaziabad-based EV charging and power-electronics startup Solterra Technologies to expand the availability of its EV powertrain components in India. Under the arrangement, Solterra will distribute SINPRO’s motors, motor controllers and DC-DC converters to electric-vehicle manufacturers and mobility companies across the country.
“India represents one of the most important and dynamic markets for electric mobility,” said Bill Su, EV Powertrain Leader, SINPRO Electronics.
SINPRO Electronics’ EV Powertrain Leader Bill Su said the exclusive tie-up would bring the company’s powertrain technologies closer to Indian OEMs and mobility providers. He added that Solterra’s on-ground presence and expanding engineering capabilities would support the partners’ efforts to contribute to India’s evolving electric-mobility ecosystem.

Solterra Technologies CTO Sagar Bose said the Indian EV sector is entering a stage in which technology, performance and engineering expertise will become increasingly important. The partnership, he said, broadens Solterra’s portfolio with established EV powertrain products, while its Bengaluru R&D facility is expected to strengthen the company’s ability to collaborate with OEMs and develop solutions tailored to Indian requirements.

Founded in 2022, Solterra Technologies manufactures IP67-rated EV chargers for two, three, and four wheelers, along with power modules, EV controllers and communication devices, and provides power electronics solutions, deep-tech consultancy, and design services for automotive and industrial applications.
