Juniper Green Energy Limited has secured a 230 MW renewable energy project from SECI, with the power to be supplied at a tariff of ₹5.26 per unit. The company has received the Letter of Award for a Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project designed to deliver power on a Round-the-Clock (RTC) basis.
The award follows SECI’s 1,000 MW FDRE-RTC tender, for which Juniper Green Energy emerged as the successful bidder for 230 MW in the e-Reverse auction held on August 6, 2026. The procurement model is aimed at addressing one of the key challenges of renewable power, which is availability, by combining generation with storage to provide a more dependable supply profile.

The project will be developed in Rajasthan and linked to the National Grid. Under the arrangement, SECI will purchase the power through a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement. Juniper Green Energy plans to integrate solar generation, wind power and battery storage as part of the project configuration, enabling it to deliver renewable electricity with greater consistency.
As part of the project, the company’s FDRE portfolio will receive an additional 795 MWp of solar capacity, 75 MW of wind capacity and 2,200 MWh of battery energy storage capacity. The combination highlights the growing role of hybrid generation and storage in India’s push towards more reliable renewable power.
