KEI Industries Limited has approved a new manufacturing expansion project in Rajasthan as the company prepares to enhance its production capabilities to support future demand for wires and cables.
The Board of Directors has cleared the proposed capacity addition at the company’s upcoming manufacturing facility located at Salarpur in the Khairthal-Tijara district of Rajasthan. The expansion is expected to strengthen KEI Industries’ manufacturing network while supporting its long-term growth strategy.
As part of the project, KEI Industries plans to add an annual production capacity of 50,000 KMS of cables and 40,000 MT of GI wires for backward integration. According to the company, the project is scheduled to become operational in a phased manner by September 2028.

The company has estimated the total investment for the expansion at approximately ₹700 crores, which will be funded through internal accruals. The planned capacity addition is intended to help the company cater to increasing market demand.
As of June 30, 2026, KEI Industries had an annual installed capacity of 2,60,732 KMS of cables, 28,800 KMS of communication cables, 23,89,400 KMS of house and winding wires, and 9,000 MT of stainless steel wires. Capacity utilization stood at 72% for cables, 45% for communication cables, 61% for house and winding wires, and 91% for stainless steel wires, reflecting continued utilization across its existing manufacturing operations.

The proposed expansion is expected to further strengthen KEI Industries’ production capabilities while supporting its efforts to meet rising demand across its product portfolio. The project also reinforces the company’s continued focus on expanding manufacturing capacity through strategic capital investment.
