Pace Digitek Limited has announced a significant milestone in its battery energy storage business, with its subsidiary Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL) crossing the manufacturing milestone of 300 utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) containers, representing approximately 1.5 GWh of battery energy storage capacity.
The milestone comes as Pace Digitek continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities to address growing demand for large-scale battery energy storage solutions.
Pace Digitek expands BESS manufacturing capacity
According to the company’s regulatory disclosure filed with the stock exchanges, Pace Digitek is expanding its existing 2.5 GWh BESS manufacturing capacity by an additional 2.5 GWh. The company is also establishing another 5 GWh BESS manufacturing facility, along with an in-house container fabrication facility.
These investments are aimed at increasing manufacturing scale, strengthening backward integration, improving cost efficiencies and enhancing execution capabilities across the battery energy storage value chain. The expansion is significant as battery storage becomes an increasingly important component of power infrastructure, particularly for integrating renewable energy and supporting grid reliability.

Integrated BESS capabilities across the value chain
Pace Digitek has developed an integrated BESS platform covering multiple stages of the project lifecycle, including manufacturing, engineering, system integration, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), and long-term Operations & Maintenance (O&M).
The company says these capabilities allow it to provide end-to-end battery energy storage solutions, from manufacturing and system integration through project execution and lifecycle services. Through Lineage Power, the group is also building capabilities in energy storage systems and related power infrastructure products.
Focus on utility-scale and commercial energy storage
The latest manufacturing milestone comes at a time when battery energy storage is gaining importance in the broader energy transition. Large-scale storage systems can support renewable energy integration by helping manage fluctuations in electricity generation and demand.
