Senvion India has announced that its latest 4.2M160 wind turbine model has been officially included in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) – Wind, released on 30 December 2025.

The ALMM (Wind) framework formerly known as the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM) serves to streamline model qualification and reinforce quality assurance standards across India’s rapidly expanding wind energy sector. The recent updates to the framework are designed to accelerate localization and strengthen domestic manufacturing, fostering greater self-reliance in clean energy production.

With a rated capacity of 4.2 MW and a 160-metre rotor diameter, the Senvion 4.2M160 is now certified for hub heights up to 140 metres, ensuring full compliance with MNRE’s listing requirements and enabling broad deployment across diverse wind sites in India.
