Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Mitsubishi Electric Intelligent Manufacturing Technology (China) Group Co., Ltd., based in Suzhou, has acquired a stake in ADT Technology Service (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., a local software developer and previous collaboration partner. Through this partnership with ADTTech, which specializes in software for production planning, manufacturing management, quality assurance, and equipment control, Mitsubishi Electric aims to strengthen its factory automation (FA) total solutions. The investment will help advance the development of smarter, more automated factories across China’s rapidly growing manufacturing sector.
ADTTech develops and provides manufacturing management software built on the production expertise it gained as the former manufacturing division of LCD producer AUO Corporation. By integrating its factory automation (FA) equipment and monitoring/control software with ADTTech’s specialized solutions, Mitsubishi Electric will deliver comprehensive systems that enhance the utilization, analysis, and operation of production data. This investment is expected to further strengthen Mitsubishi Electric’s FA solution capabilities in China and accelerate the expansion of its FA system business in the region.
As labor costs rise, skilled workers become scarcer, and environmental regulations grow stricter worldwide, manufacturers are accelerating investments in smart and sustainable production. By adopting digital technologies such as AI and IoT, they are enhancing efficiency and automation across their facilities. In China, this shift is expected to drive strong demand for advanced services that leverage production data for analysis and optimization, in line with the nation’s broader move toward digitalized, intelligent manufacturing.
