JA Solar, a global leader in high-performance photovoltaic products, has signed a strategic module supply agreement with Australian solar innovator 5B to deliver over 100 MW of DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules for a major project in Western Australia. The agreement, announced during All Energy Australia 2025, marks the largest collaboration between the two companies to date.
Built on years of close technical collaboration, the new partnership brings together JA Solar’s high-efficiency modules and 5B’s prefabricated Maverick solar array technology to accelerate deployment timelines and reduce project costs. Optimized for seamless integration, JA Solar’s DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules enhance performance and reliability within 5B’s rapidly deployable Maverick system, designed for faster, safer, and more cost-effective installation of large-scale solar farms.
Engineered to withstand wind speeds up to 93 meters per second, the Maverick system delivers robust performance under Australia’s harsh weather conditions. Combined with JA Solar’s advanced module technology, the solution minimizes balance-of-system costs, shortens construction cycles, and ensures stable energy generation for developers operating in remote or challenging environments.
The signing ceremony brought together senior leaders from both companies, including Daniel Li (VP, East Asia & South Pacific, JA Solar) and David Griffin (CEO of 5B), alongside key regional and technical heads. Their presence highlighted the strategic depth of the partnership and the alignment across commercial, engineering, and market development teams.
