Innoviz Technologies Ltd., a leading provider of high-performance LiDAR solutions, announced that its ready-to-deploy security system, InnovizSMART, has been rolled out across multiple critical infrastructure and municipal sites in Israel over the past three months. The solution leverages advanced 3D sensing to create customizable virtual perimeters capable of detecting and classifying objects and movement with exceptional accuracy.
InnovizSMART overcomes the limitations of traditional security systems by delivering true 3D sensing with precise distance measurement at ranges exceeding 450 meters. Unlike conventional radar or camera-based systems, the LiDAR-powered platform can identify movement even behind obstacles such as trees and foliage. It maintains reliable performance in challenging weather conditions, including heavy rain, strong winds, and intense sunlight, while accurately detecting slow-moving or concealed targets. Scanning more than one million points per second, it generates a detailed 3D map for accurate object detection and classification.

When paired with cameras and analytics software, the system automatically triggers visual zoom and verification once movement is detected within a defined virtual boundary. It can simultaneously track multiple targets and differentiate between people, vehicles, and animals, enabling operators to set tailored responses and significantly reduce false alarms. Seamless integration with standard VMS and control platforms ensures compatibility with existing security setups.
