BladeRanger Ltd., a global leader in automated drone-based cleaning and diagnostics, has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Eco Wave Power Global AB to deliver the world’s first drone-powered maintenance solution for onshore wave energy systems.
The partnership was unveiled during a live demonstration at Eco Wave Power’s Jaffa Port project in Israel, where BladeRanger’s autonomous drones successfully cleaned and inspected Eco Wave Power’s floaters — the vital components that transform ocean waves into clean, renewable electricity.
“Our mission has always been to automate maintenance for renewable energy systems in ways that maximize efficiency and sustainability,” said Hagay Climor, Chairman of BladeRanger. “Partnering with Eco Wave Power brings our technology to an exciting new frontier — wave energy — and ensures these systems remain clean, reliable, and high-performing.”
This milestone follows Eco Wave Power’s recent launch of its Los Angeles pilot on September 9, marking significant progress in the global adoption of onshore wave energy. BladeRanger’s drone technology is expected to reduce operational costs, minimize downtime, and enhance system performance, replicating the efficiency gains the company has already delivered to leading solar installations worldwide.
“Wave energy represents the next chapter for BladeRanger’s technology,” added Hagay Climor, Chairman. “This collaboration positions us at the forefront of innovation in the renewable energy sector, expanding our impact beyond solar and into one of the world’s fastest-growing clean energy markets.”
Following this successful demonstration, BladeRanger and Eco Wave Power will advance the development of a tailored, comprehensive drone-based maintenance solution, with potential long-term deployment across Eco Wave Power’s global projects.
