HVR Solar has announced plans to commence commercial operations at its 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Sonipat, Haryana, in June 2026. The upcoming facility is expected to strengthen domestic solar manufacturing capabilities and support India’s expanding renewable energy sector.
Spread across 6.5 acres near Murthal, the project is designed to enhance North India’s renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem while contributing to the country’s growing clean energy infrastructure. The company stated that the facility will feature automated Tier-1 production lines along with advanced TOPCon technology for solar module manufacturing.
HVR Solar also plans to expand its manufacturing capabilities with future-ready technologies including HJT modules, bifacial module production and AI-enabled quality systems aimed at improving operational efficiency and product reliability.
According to the company, the manufacturing unit is expected to support large-scale solar module production designed for long-term performance and growing market demand. The project is also expected to generate more than 500 employment opportunities in the region.
India’s renewable energy sector continues to witness increasing investments in domestic manufacturing as the country focuses on expanding solar capacity, reducing import dependence and strengthening clean energy infrastructure. The latest expansion reflects the growing momentum in India’s solar manufacturing industry amid rising demand for renewable energy solutions across the country.
