Danfoss India has unveiled its latest innovation in industrial refrigeration, the STL family of valves, designed and manufactured in India at the 8th edition of REFCOLD India 2025, South Asia’s largest refrigeration and cold-chain event. The exhibition, organized by ISHRAE, took place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from 18–20 September 2025, and drew industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across the region. The launch event was marked by the presence of Mr. Jasmohan Singh, Managing Director, Frick India Ltd., underscoring industry confidence in Danfoss India’s commitment to strengthening the nation’s cold-chain ecosystem.
“The STL family marks a leap in refrigeration valve technology, designed and manufactured in India to meet the needs of India’s growing cold-chain industry,” said Mr. Madhur Sehgal, Head, Danfoss Climate Solutions Sales, India Region. “With modularity, reliability, and ease of service, STL valves help operators cut downtime, save energy, and extend system life. From vegetables and fruits to dairy, meat, and seafood, the platform delivers consistent performance and long-term value for India’s evolving cold-storage ecosystem.”
“REFCOLD has once again proven to be a vital platform that brings together policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to spotlight the latest sustainable refrigeration practices, advanced cold storage technology and enhanced Agri logistics solutions to advance India’s cold-chain sector.” said Mr. Ravichandran Purushothaman, Chairman CII National Committee on Cold Chain & President – Danfoss India Region, “Danfoss India is proud to showcase game-changing solutions every year in REFCOLD, especially like the new STL valve family launched this year, which is designed in India to global standards, to help strengthen the nation’s food security, reduce post-harvest losses, and support a more sustainable and resilient cold-chain ecosystem.”
The new valves will play a pivotal role in strengthening India’s cold storage infrastructure, particularly for perishables that require stable, efficient, and reliable preservation. From large perishables’ warehouses in North India to multi-commodity facilities across the country, STL brings the assurance of local manufacturing, faster service support, and long-term operational value.

“This new launch is a proof of our commitment to localization and vision to ‘‘Make in India’, to ensure faster product availability, lower lifecycle costs, and stronger support for our customers. This is a good step forward in strengthening India’s cold-chain ecosystem with world class technology that combines sustainability, reliability, and local innovation.” said Ms. Anju Mary Kuruvilla, Director – Industry & Public Affairs, External Communications & Sustainability, Danfoss India Region.
With this launch at REFCOLD 2025, Danfoss India reinforced its leadership in cold chain and highlighted how solutions designed in India to global standards can help build a more resilient and advanced cold chain ecosystem in the country.
