As part of its strategic restructuring announced earlier this year, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. (IYM) has proposed the integration of Yamaha Motor Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (YEIN) into IYM. The move is aimed at simplifying the company’s operations, improving collaboration across functions and creating a more agile organizational structure to support its long-term growth plans.
The proposed integration comes at a time when the mobility sector is rapidly evolving, with sustainability and technological innovation reshaping product development and manufacturing. By bringing YEIN’s capabilities into IYM, Yamaha expects to strengthen the integration of its product development and manufacturing functions, further enhance its premium product portfolio and accelerate the development of next-generation mobility solutions, including electrified technologies.

The restructuring is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2027, subject to the required regulatory and stakeholder approvals. Yamaha said it will maintain business continuity throughout the transition, ensuring that customers, business partners and employees remain unaffected by the integration process.

Following the integration, YEIN as a function will continue to play an important role within IYM, leveraging its expertise in electrical components to support the company’s product development and manufacturing priorities. The unified organization will also provide greater opportunities for talent development, knowledge sharing, and innovation, further strengthening Yamaha’s long-term competitiveness and readiness for the future.
