HFCL has secured a ₹2,666 crore order from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for the BharatNet Phase III project in Uttar Pradesh (West), covering the supply, installation and commissioning of telecom equipment and optical fiber network infrastructure. According to information shared by the company, the project involves the supply, installation and commissioning of telecom equipment, along with the creation of an Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) network under the BharatNet Phase III programme.
BharatNet is one of India’s flagship digital connectivity initiatives aimed at expanding broadband access across rural and underserved regions. The programme seeks to strengthen digital infrastructure and improve internet connectivity for communities across the country. The contract awarded by RVNL is expected to support the deployment of next-generation telecom infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh (West), contributing to ongoing efforts to enhance broadband network coverage and digital access.
