Greaves Cotton Limited, a leading diversified engineering company in India, has announced the appointment of Manish Poddar as its Group Chief Financial Officer, effective 19 March 2026. Based in Mumbai, he will oversee the Finance and IT functions while supporting the company’s Greaves.NEXT strategy, which focuses on driving sustainable growth across energy, mobility, and Industrial Solutions. He succeeds Akhila Balachandar, who will step down from the role to pursue new professional opportunities.
Manish Poddar is a qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years of experience in financial leadership, strategic planning, and corporate governance. Before joining Greaves, he held senior leadership positions at Greencell Mobility, GMM Pfaudler Ltd., and Diversey, where he contributed to improving financial performance, leading transformation initiatives, and supporting long-term business growth. He has also worked with both promoter-led organizations and private equity-backed companies, including Bain Capital and ChrysCapital.
