Suzlon Group and Yanara have strengthened their collaboration by signing two new wind energy contracts of 153 MW each for Yanara’s firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects in Barmer, Rajasthan. This renewed partnership reinforces Suzlon’s leadership in the state’s wind energy market, while enabling Yanara to expand its multi-technology clean energy portfolio, a key step in advancing India’s renewable energy innovation.
With over 2.3 GW of installed capacity and a 44% market share in Rajasthan, Suzlon continues to play a pivotal role in transforming the state into one of India’s foremost renewable energy hubs. The company is currently executing additional engineering, procurement, and construction projects totaling 791 MW across the region.

Under the two FDRE projects in Barmer, totaling approximately 800 MWp, Suzlon will deploy 102 advanced S144 wind turbine generators with hybrid lattice towers, each rated at 3 MW. The clean power produced from these installations will help Yanara meet its power purchase agreement commitments with leading utilities such as NTPC and NHPC.
Yanara is building a grid-scale portfolio of hybrid renewable projects combining solar, wind, and energy storage solutions to deliver round-the-clock clean power, furthering India’s goal of universal energy access and the 500 GW non-fossil energy capacity target by 2030. The two Rajasthan projects come in quick succession after Yanara’s 115 MW co-located solar-wind hybrid project in Maharashtra, which is nearing completion and includes 29.4 MW Suzlon wind order.
