SNF, a global leader in water-soluble polymers, has announced that it has acquired Obsidian Chemical Solutions LLC, a prominent provider of specialty chemical solutions for completion operations in the oil and gas industry.
Headquartered in Midland, Texas, Obsidian has rapidly established itself as a trusted partner in the Permian Basin, boasting one of the region’s largest bulk storage capacities and a significant manufacturing presence. Through this acquisition, SNF is set to expand its ability to deliver tailored chemical formulations, spanning stimulation, acidizing, drill-out, cementing, and produced water treatment, helping customers improve efficiency, protect assets, and optimize production.
