Rohde & Schwarz strengthens its mid-range test portfolio with the launch of the R&S FPL1044 spectrum analyzer and a new 40 MHz real-time spectrum analysis option for the entire FPL family. As an industry first, the FPL1044 delivers performance up to 44 GHz at a price level previously unavailable, while the universal RTSA option equips users with powerful real-time signal analysis.

The R&S FPL1044 spectrum analyzer extends Rohde & Schwarz’s mid-range offering by combining frequency coverage from 10 Hz to 44 GHz with exceptional affordability. It is the only instrument in its class to reach 44 GHz, significantly reducing the barrier to high-frequency and Ka-band testing.

Unique within the FPL family, the FPL1044 features a DC coupling option, enabling measurements from as low as 10 Hz up to 44 GHz. This capability provides greater flexibility for analyzing both low-frequency and high-frequency signals, all within a compact, lightweight, and rugged design.

Designed for portability and efficient bench use, the R&S FPL1044 retains the familiar form factor of the FPL family while integrating a standard 2.92 mm male input connector to ensure reliable high-frequency measurements.

Introduced alongside the FPL1044, the R&S FPL1-K41R option adds 40 MHz real-time spectrum analysis across all FPL models. With a probability of intercept as low as 4.2 µs, users can now capture and analyze even the shortest, most elusive RF events.

For the new R&S FPL1044, this means 40 MHz real-time frequency analysis is now available up to 44 GHz, providing a complete, affordable solution for the challenging world of high-frequency signal monitoring and component testing.

The frequency range of 26.5 GHz to 44 GHz is vital for the aerospace & defense industry, as well as the components industry and for research. It is used for satellite links, radar, radio navigation, earth observation and radio astronomy.
