Lumax Auto Technologies Limited (LATL), a prominent Tier-1 supplier to Indian automotive OEMs, recently inaugurated its state-of-the-art Technology Centre in Bengaluru, named the ‘Smart Hub for Innovation and Future Trends’ (SHIFT). This development represents a significant milestone in LATL’s strategic plan to enhance its electronics engineering and digital capabilities, aligning with the global shift toward software-defined vehicles (SDVs).
The inauguration was attended by key customers and partners, including senior leaders from Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, Hero MotoCorp, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and TVS Motor Company, highlighting Lumax’s strong and enduring relationships within the Indian automotive ecosystem.
The new centre is designed to be a core hub for advanced research and product development, focusing on areas such as in-cabin experiences, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), connectivity, and embedded electronics. It aims to deliver next-generation solutions that meet the evolving demands of automotive manufacturers and end consumers.

The SHIFT Technology Center is equipped with advanced electronics labs for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, rapid prototyping, and product validation, enabling end-to-end innovation from concept to commercialization.
