The company’s prime focus remains on delivering the “joy of driving” while pushing aggressively toward sustainability goals including achieving carbon neutrality and zero traffic fatalities globally by 2050. Key unveilings include a next-generation hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) platform that combines high body rigidity with lightweight construction and modular design to enhance driving dynamics and streamline production with parts commonality over 60%. By optimizing body rigidity and leveraging agility control systems, Honda’s new platform promises unprecedented driving stability and a sporty, engaging experience unique to its brand. This platform will underpin new HEV models launching from 2027 onward.
Honda also unveiled its next-generation large-size hybrid system tailored for the North American market, featuring a newly developed fuel-efficient V6 engine, advanced drive units, and high-capacity battery packs.
