Adani Enterprises Limited has announced the completion of the acquisition of the defence manufacturing unit of Punj Lloyd Limited through its wholly owned subsidiary, Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Ltd (ADSTL). The transaction was completed on March 10, 2026, following the execution of a Business Transfer Agreement between ADSTL and Punj Lloyd Ltd. The acquired facility is located in Malanpur, Madhya Pradesh, and was previously part of Punj Lloyd’s defence manufacturing operations.
Earlier, Adani Enterprises had informed the stock exchanges about the signing of the Business Transfer Agreement on February 28, 2026. The latest disclosure confirms that the transfer process has now been finalized in accordance with the terms outlined in the agreement.
With the addition of the Malanpur facility, Adani Defence Systems & Technologies strengthens its manufacturing infrastructure and expands its capabilities in defence and aerospace production. The acquisition aligns with the company’s broader strategy to build an integrated presence in India’s defence ecosystem through investments in advanced manufacturing and technology development.
Adani Enterprises communicated the completion of the transaction to stock exchanges under applicable regulatory disclosure requirements. The announcement was signed by the company’s Company Secretary and Joint President (Legal), confirming the successful closure of the deal.
The acquisition marks another step in Adani Enterprises’ expansion in the defence sector as the group continues to invest in strategic manufacturing assets and defence technology capabilities in India.
