Samsung Has a New Plan to Prepare 2,000 Young Minds for the AI Economy

Samsung India has launched the 2026 edition of its Samsung Innovation Campus programme in Karnataka, with plans to train 2,000 young people in industry-relevant artificial intelligence skills. Hon’ble Karnataka Higher Education Minister Shri Basavaraj Rayareddy attended the launch as chief guest, along with senior academicians from Nrupathunga University in Bengaluru.

The initiative is being implemented in partnership with Nrupathunga University and is intended to broaden access to practical AI education as Karnataka works to build an AI-focused technology ecosystem. Samsung said the programme has already trained more than 3,000 people in the state.

Now in its fourth year in India, Samsung Innovation Campus is a global skilling initiative for people aged 18 to 25. The programme offers hands-on training in AI, enabling participants to apply their learning to real-world challenges while building technical capabilities and improving their readiness for emerging technology careers.

The Karnataka launch comes at a time when the state is placing greater emphasis on AI-led innovation and technology-driven growth. Through SIC 2026, Samsung aims to train 2,000 youth in Karnataka this year, giving aspiring students access to practical, industry-relevant AI learning and helping strengthen the state’s technology talent pool. The initiative is part of Samsung’s wider commitment to empower 20,000 young people across 10 states through the 2026 edition of Samsung Innovation Campus.

Strengthening India’s Future AI Talent

Samsung Innovation Campus 2026 is being delivered in partnership with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India and the Telecom Sector Skill Council. The programme combines structured instruction, hands-on learning and mentorship to equip participants with practical skills in artificial intelligence and generative AI.

The initiative builds on Samsung Innovation Campus’s 2025 outreach, when it trained more than 20,000 participants across India, with women making up 48% of the cohort. Through its 2026 edition, the programme aims to extend access to advanced technology education and help more young people develop skills for India’s fast-changing digital economy.

Guided by its global CSR vision, “Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People,” Samsung India focuses its citizenship initiatives on Smart Education and Skilling Youth, providing young people with access to knowledge, skills and opportunities that can help them shape their future.
