Zscaler, Inc., the global leader in cloud security, today announced the appointment of Dr. Swamy Kocherlakota as Executive Vice President of Agentic AI Security Engineering. The appointment comes as artificial intelligence rapidly evolves beyond chatbots into autonomous, agentic systems that operate simultaneously as users and applications, fundamentally disrupting traditional security models and creating a new class of sophisticated cyber risks. Dr. Kocherlakota will lead Zscaler’s effort to address these challenges at the architectural level, moving beyond fragmented, tool-based approaches that fail to secure agent-driven environments.

A 30-year technology veteran who most recently led AI strategy at a global financial analytics leader, Dr. Kocherlakota will drive the next phase of innovation for the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange, the platform trusted by 45% of Fortune 500 organizations. His mandate includes extending Zero Trust principles to secure agentic AI workflows and deepening innovation across the AI security stack, providing enterprises, developers, and business leaders with the foundation needed to defend against an increasingly complex and autonomous threat landscape.
