ReNew Energy Global Plc, a leading provider of decarbonization solutions, has earned an ‘A’ rating in CDP’s Climate Change assessment for FY 2024-25, placing it among the top 4% of companies worldwide on the leading global platform for environmental disclosure. This milestone marks a two-level improvement in ReNew’s Climate Change score, advancing from a ‘B’ in FY 2023–24 to an ‘A’ in FY 2024–25, and signifies the Company’s inclusion in CDP’s prestigious Leadership band. Commenting on the achievement, Vaishali Nigam Sinha, Co-Founder and Chairperson – Sustainability, ReNew, said, “This achievement reflects the progress ReNew has made in strengthening transparency and governance across its sustainability agenda. It reinforces the growing maturity of climate practices within the energy sector, where credible disclosures and accountability are increasingly central to long-term performance. CDP is a global environmental non-profit that evaluates companies on climate change, water security, and forests, based on the completeness of disclosure, governance, risk management, and progress on environmental performance. Companies included in CDP’s ‘A List’ are recognized for demonstrating best practices in transparency, ambition, and climate action.

ReNew’s improved performance in CDP’s FY 2024-25 assessment was driven by comprehensive, organization-wide initiatives focused on enhancing disclosures, governance, and alignment with global sustainability standards. Key actions included expanding climate and nature-related reporting, strengthening ESG governance frameworks, and embedding sustainability considerations more deeply into operational and value chain decision-making.

Over the year, ReNew published its second Annual Integrated Report with broader sustainability disclosures, marking its first alignment with India’s BRSR (Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting) framework. The Company also released detailed Climate and Nature Action Reports aligned with IFRS S2 Climate-Related Disclosures and TNFD (Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures) recommendations. Additionally, ReNew advanced supply chain sustainability efforts and launched pilot water-positivity projects at two operational sites, reinforcing its commitment to responsible resource management.

In 2025, CDP received data requests from 640 investors collectively managing USD 127 trillion in assets, reflecting the growing global emphasis on environmental accountability. CDP’s analysis shows that companies featured on its Climate Change ‘A List’ consistently exhibit greater long-term resilience, underscoring the strong connection between transparency, sound governance, and sustainable business performance.

Further underscoring its sustainability leadership, ReNew also achieved a score of 84 in S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment in December 2025, the highest score ever achieved by an India-based energy company placing it among the top 10% of energy companies globally.
