Cyient DLM, a leader in design-led manufacturing, has expanded its strategic partnership with Deutsche Aircraft, a renowned German regional aircraft manufacturer. As part of this collaboration, Cyient DLM will design, develop, and manufacture the Cabin Management System (CMS) for the D328eco, a next-generation 40-seater regional turboprop. This initiative represents a major milestone, being one of Deutsche Aircraft’s first electronic programmes to be designed and manufactured entirely in India, supporting the government’s “Make in India” vision.
The selected CMS features an intuitive touchscreen interface, allowing both crew and passengers to seamlessly control cabin functions such as lighting, passenger signs, and lavatory operations. Designed with passenger comfort in mind, the system also enables lighting adjustments tailored to specific in-flight needs, whether for working or relaxing.
Leveraging their extensive aerospace expertise, Cyient DLM and Cyient are set to deliver a state-of-the-art CMS solution tailored for this aircraft class. The system will integrate multiple sensors and utilities to ensure operational simplicity, enhanced safety, and a superior user experience. Built on a modular, scalable architecture, the CMS will incorporate the latest advancements in display and control electronics, demonstrating India’s growing capability to develop and certify cutting-edge aerospace solutions.
“Our expanded partnership with Deutsche Aircraft is a testament to the strength of our collaboration and shared commitment to driving aerospace innovation,” says Anthony Montalbano, CEO of Cyient DLM. “We are excited to bring our end-to-end design and manufacturing expertise to the D328eco programme—a next-generation aircraft that will set new standards for regional aviation.”
Nico Neumann, Co-CEO of Deutsche Aircraft, adds, “We are very pleased to start this partnership with Cyient DLM on the CMS, further strengthening the relationship between Deutsche Aircraft and the Cyient Group. Cyient has been a valuable partner in multiple areas of design and support, which has been crucial in our endeavour to bring the most modern and efficient aircraft in this class into service.”
Nico Neumann further concluded by saying, “This partnership for the D328eco will enable Deutsche Aircraft to provide a modern CMS, a first for this class of aircraft. Cyient DLM’s proven capabilities make them an ideal partner in the design, development and series production of the CMS.”
The initiative reinforces Cyient DLM’s leadership in the Indian and European aerospace sectors, positioning the company as a key enabler of next-generation aviation technology.
