Amcor, a global leader in responsible packaging solutions, has announced an extension of the application period for its Amcor Lift-Off Sprints challenge. This initiative seeks to collaborate with innovative companies offering new compostable or recyclable barrier coating solutions for paper and other compostable substrates.
The Amcor Lift-Off initiative aims to establish technical collaborations with start-ups and innovators who can tackle specific research and development (R&D) challenges. Successful participants could secure a joint development agreement with Amcor’s R&D team and receive funding of up to $500,000.
The Amcor Lift-Off Sprints challenge is seeking companies that can provide barrier coatings for substrates that are either compostable or recyclable. These solutions should enhance the functionality and sustainability of packaging, aligning with Amcor’s commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.
Interested companies are invited to submit their applications through the Amcor Lift-Off website at amcor.com/ventures/lift-off/challenges. The application should include a detailed description of the technology, business and funding status. Applications will be reviewed by Amcor’s Corporate Venturing and R&D teams.
