Spectrum, one of the nation’s largest broadband providers, has announced a landmark multi-year agreement with TeamSnap, the leading youth sports management platform with 25 million users. Building on a successful pilot program, Spectrum will triple its investment in community sports, sponsoring more than 720 youth leagues nationwide through 2027. This partnership marks one of the most significant youth sports collaborations in the U.S.
“Teaming up with TeamSnap is truly a home run for Spectrum because so many of the families we serve, and our employees who are their neighbors, have children who play in local sports leagues,” said Sharon Peters, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer for Spectrum. “Our support of TeamSnap will provide essential resources, funding and memorable experiences to inspire young athletes across the nation, foster a lifelong love for their sport and create opportunities that extend beyond the field.”
A Growing Impact on Youth Sports
Since launching in 2023, the Spectrum-TeamSnap partnership has supported 240 leagues annually across 30+ markets within Spectrum’s 41-state footprint. Through branded jerseys, field signage, and custom communications, Spectrum has reached over 150,000 youth sports households. Soccer, baseball, and softball remain key focus areas, aligning with some of the most widely played sports on TeamSnap’s platform.
“TeamSnap’s partnership with Spectrum is about more than just sponsorships; it’s about creating opportunities and experiences that resonate with families,” said Nicole McCormack, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Brand Solutions at TeamSnap. “As the only platform that connects brands with youth sports communities at scale, TeamSnap helps Spectrum deliver on its commitment to local communities, one practice, one game, one team at a time.”
Scholarships, Equipment, and Reduced Player Costs
Spectrum’s expanded sponsorship will provide direct funding to local leagues, reducing participation costs, offering scholarships, and supplying new equipment to enhance the experience for young athletes.
“Spectrum’s sponsorship of Elmjack Little League helped fund upgrades to our facilities and equipment, enhancing the overall experience for players and fans alike,” said Milo Kaminsky, Board Member of Elmjack Little League in Queens, N.Y. “Their support helped create a more welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone who comes out to enjoy the games.”
Spring sponsorships are planned in Albany, Austin, Birmingham, Charlotte, Cheyenne, Cleveland, Dallas-Fort Worth, Green Bay-Appleton, Lexington, New York, Orlando, Portland, St. Louis, and Syracuse. Additionally, Spectrum and TeamSnap will sponsor nearly 2,000 young athletes in Asheville, N.C., and Greenville, S.C., communities recovering from last fall’s hurricanes, as well as Los Angeles, where wildfires have impacted local sports programs.
Connecting Community Sports to the Big Leagues
Beyond local sponsorships, Spectrum is bridging community sports with professional athletics. In 2024, leveraging its partnerships with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays, Spectrum and TeamSnap created exclusive game-day experiences, VIP stadium access, and on-field meet-and-greets with Major League players, celebrating the achievements of local leagues.
